Posters and Demonstrations Track

Posters and Demonstrations Track at ICTERI offers an opportunity for conference participants from academia and industry to present and discuss both theoretical aspects and practical applications of their research. We strongly encourage the submissions by advanced students and industry professionals. Posters and demonstrations may include but are not limited to software demonstration, interactive models, real-time visualizations, novel technology applications. Live action and interaction with the audience are critical elements for the Track.
This track will be organized in a way to stimulate extensive exchange of ideas and showcases. Both presenters and participants will have a unique opportunity to be interactively engaged in discussions, hands-on trials and testing.

The Scope of Posters and Demonstrations

The topics for Posters and Demonstrations include all the ICTERI topics of interest:

Track 1: Advances in ICT Research

  • Resources integration and interoperability
  • Managing big data and linked open data at scale
  • Data analytics and business intelligence
  • Knowledge models, representation languages, and reasoning – Ontologies: extraction, engineering and evolution
  • Domain modelling languages and tools
  • Machine learning frameworks
  • Recommender systems: methods and technologies
  • Challenges in digital society

Track 2: Information Systems: Technology and Applications

  • Service orientation, large-scale distributed computing, cloud and edge-based approaches
  • Model driven architectures / approaches for software development
  • Smart systems: models, technologies and applications
  • Information extraction, data and knowledge mining

Track 3: Academia/Industry ICT Cooperation

  • Joint academic-industrial research and development
  • Infrastructures, tools, and conditions for cooperation and knowledge transfer
  • Experiences in the development and use of ICT for technologyenhanced learning and personnel training
  • Best practices in cooperative ICT projects

Track 4: ICT in Education

  • ICT development to support methodology and didactics of teaching and learning
  • Novel or advanced ICT approaches in technology enhanced learning and instruction
  • ICT support for competence design and development
  • ICT-supported quality assurance in education and education management

Page limit: 10-12 LNCS pages.
We expect poster presenters, if their submissions are accepted, to prepare a poster of A1 paper size in portrait layout (841x1189mm) that describes your research problem, solutions and important results in a visually appealing format. For demonstrations, presenters may use their own equipment or inquire organizers on the availability of the required equipment. For review, please do not submit a large-format poster image or presentation, but only the paper describing in text what the poster/demonstra- tion will present.
All submissions shall be annotated by the key words/phrases freely chosen by the authors. At least three and at most five key phrases have to be provided. All submissions must comply with the Springer CCIS format guidelines. Submission Guidelines

The language of the Track at ICTERI is English. Submissions in any other language will be rejected without review. Presentations in any other language are also not accepted.
Posters are concise presentations of early-stage research in the form of a short paper. These papers outline preliminary ideas, concepts, and initial results shaping out the future work.

Evaluation and Publication

All submissions will be evaluated by several members of the international program committee. Accepted papers will be published in the Springer-Nature Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series.

Presentation

Accepted posters must be presented at the conference by one of their authors, who commit to register and attend the conference. The Poster/Demo Chair reserves the right to withdraw from the proceedings those papers, which have not been presented at the conference.
