Description of the Theme of the Workshop

  1. Enterprises and product markets: regional tax policies and inter-regional competition and investment; industrial organization, market structure, competition and trade; corporate governance.
  2. Labor markets and social policy: household consumption and saving; labor supply and employment, labor mobility and migration; income and wealth distribution; education and human capital; pension reform.
  3. Macro, financial markets: macroeconomic management and economic growth, international finance and capital markets.
  4. Public economics: taxes, tariffs, economic regulation and protection; tax collection, corruption.
  5. International trade and regional integration: trade policy in relations with CIS and other countries, customs unions, tariffs and quotas; technological exchanges, international competition and cooperation; protectionism and long-term development strategy.
  6. Mathematical and informational methods as educational tools for teaching a course in economics: economic development projects as an educational tool for teaching by the means of information technologies, learning environment, economic topics or concepts are you illustrating with this project, teaching techniques, recommendations to peer instructors

Relation between the Theme of the Workshop and of ICTERI
Expanding of IT has very big influence on economic education and research with using of modeling, processing and presentation of economical data. IT is powerful tools for improvement of economic learning process and facilitation of decision making in economical industries.

A Publicity Plan for Attracting Submissions and Attendees

Planned publicity measures are:

- On-line and freely accessible workshop proceedings at ITER
It is planned that the proceedings of the workshop will be published at ITER on line and with open access to the full texts of the papers.

- Personal contacts of teachers at Ukrainian universities
It will be announced for specialties of economical cybernetics, applied economics and computer science, electronic mail distribution for them.

- Regular and timely Calls properly synchronized with the Calls of ICTERI. The Call for Papers will be publicized via the major mailing lists and other channels that commonly used in the relevant scientific communities. The Call will be repeated at due times
